Sensei Steven is a 5th dan in Shotokan Karate, with a rich history in martial arts training since he was just 5 years old. Throughout his journey, he has learned from many esteemed instructors, including Shihan Jacky Rogers, Kyoshi Edwardo Lowe, and Soke Ricardo Johns. With over 23 years of teaching experience, Sensei Steven has recently taken on the challenge of training his students for the USA national team, including competitors aiming for the NASKA rankings. His dedication extends to working with the special needs community, providing adaptive training tailored to individual needs. In addition to his martial arts expertise, Sensei Steven has established himself as a seasoned strength and conditioning professional, elite personal trainer, and a highly sought-after group fitness instructor. His creativity, straightforward approach, and deep understanding of body composition empower all his clients to achieve their fitness goals, echoing the spirit of champions like Amanda Duarte Karate.

Karate World Kenilworth specializes in Kids Martial Arts, Adult Martial Arts, and Fitness Kickboxing, with its core art being the world-famous Jhoon Rhee system of Tae Kwon Do. We also offer Thai Kickboxing for fitness and provide 20 Kickboxing Classes per week! Our 7,500 sq. foot facility includes 3 training rooms, and we take pride in having produced over 50 AAU Junior Olympic Tae Kwon Do Gold Medalists, along with 2 North American Sport Karate World Champions, including notable competitors in the NASKA Rankings.
